Are you passionate about education? Help kids prepare for the school year by volunteering at our annual back-to-school event put on by LifeWise StL and Guardian Angel Settlement Association! During this back to school event, held at the 12th and Park Recreation Center, we distribute new shoes, backpacks, and school supplies to the families each organization serves throughout the year. Volunteers are needed to pre-package school supplies as well as set up the shop the week leading up to the event and – on the day of the event – supervise supply tables and help families choose backpacks, supplies, and shoes. Have fun and help kids to start the school year off right at our Back to School event!
Please Note: Pre-packaging and set up days do not require volunteers to be vaccinated, though we will still enact health and safety measures during those times. Those volunteers who serve on Saturday will have direct participant contact and so we do require that all Saturday volunteers be vaccinated AND abide by health and safety measures.
