My name is She’Moria Wysinger and I am a Class of 2020 graduate. I attended LifeWise Academy starting the summer before my sophomore year of high school and am now an alumni. During my start of high school, I wasn’t very social and I didn’t fully understand how many opportunities were available to me, especially because of the environment I grew up in.
Through LifeWise, I was connected to my first job, taken on college tours, and able to explore parts of the city I grew up in but had never experienced before. LifeWise opened my eyes to new possibilities by giving me the chance to grow and step outside of what I was used to.
I’m building a career in behavioral health where I can really make a difference, not just clock in. I started as a residential specialist, but I’m growing, learning, and leveling up so I can do more for the people I serve. I want to be somebody that brings real support, stability, and understanding to individuals
with mental and developmental challenges, while also building a life for myself that’s solid, successful, and meaningful.
I’m proud of the progress I’ve made and the direction my life is taking. I’m currently looking into buying my first home and continuing to build stability for my future. Overall, I’m learning how to navigate adulthood, embrace new responsibilities, and stay focused on personal growth as I move forward in life.
I am forever grateful that I found LifeWise Academy when I did. Who knows what path I could’ve taken without their support and guidance.
