On January 23, 2026, LifeWise StL celebrated the 13 Year Anniversary of the St. Louis Community Credit Union microbranch at LifeWise StL! Financial access, coupled with financial literacy, is a critical step towards economic independence.
Since opening its micro-branch inside LifeWise StL (formerly Kingdom House) in January 2013, hundreds of low-interest loans have been issued and thousands of new deposit accounts have been established. The credit union is available for LifeWise participants as well as the surrounding community, and provides members with banking and financial services, eliminating the need for pay day loans.
St. Louis Community Credit Union also collaborates closely with LifeWise STL on our LifeWise StL Economic Wellness programs and matched-savings efforts. They play a vital role in long-term wealth building for our LifeWise participants who have gone on to purchase cars, start businesses, and even buy their first home.
