English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes provide the opportunity for participants to work with trained teachers to grow their English language skills. Classes teach essentials of the language and help individuals improve in areas such as writing, speaking and reading comprehension. Participants are able to utilize these language skills at work, home and in the community. Participants also learn about St. Louis and American culture while in a supportive environment. ESOL classes are provided in partnership with St. Louis Public Schools.

ESOL Class Information and Interest Form

  • Free ESOL classes are offered in person, Monday through Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
  • Classes are expected to begin September 14.
  • Classes are not held on days when St. Louis Public Schools are closed.
  • Classes are available for mixed English levels.
  • Free childcare is available.
  • Participants must reside in St. Louis City.
  • Complete the interest form to let us know you are interested in ESOL classes.
  • Your information will be shared with St. Louis Public Schools, and a member of their team will contact you with more information about enrollment, class availability, and next steps.
