English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes provide the opportunity for participants to work with trained teachers to grow their English language skills. Classes teach essentials of the language and help individuals improve in areas such as writing, speaking and reading comprehension. Participants are able to utilize these language skills at work, home and in the community. Participants also learn about St. Louis and American culture while in a supportive environment. ESOL classes are provided in partnership with St. Louis Public Schools.

ESOL classes are offered in person on Tuesday and Thursday, 9am to 12 pm. Virtual classes are also still available.

Classes are not offered on days that St. Louis Public Schools are closed.

Participants must complete 12 hours of orientation, which includes testing and completing the necessary forms to be enrolled as regular students. Orientation sessions are monthly.
